Historian Yuval Noah Harrari theorizes that storytelling is the one thing that separates us a species from the rest of the animal kingdom. Steve Jobs once said that the storyteller is the most powerful person in the world. 
 
The world often appears chaotic. Storytelling is the method by which we make sense of the chaos and turn it into something beautiful, entertaining, or informative. This is the process that guides me, whether I am searching for stories or helping others tell theirs. And it applies whether I'm working on an Emmy-nominated documentary, an indie film, or a corporate video.
